Classic flavours, traditional recipes - something for everyone.
Poldo was born from a straightforward idea, a traditional Italian chicken fast food - tasty like the old days, just faster. A humble formula with a clear intent and with a off-the-cuff narrative.
The brand is also explicit: its name reminds the sound of the Italian word for chicken, 'pollo', but without the need to say it. That’s how Poldo turns out - a simple character, just like its products.
The visual identity is linear - clean illustrations with a minimal typography and an essential palette. The design is uncluttered, with a few but iconic elements easy to recognise in its branding and materials.
The overall brand look evokes a sense of nostalgia. The white and red tiles transport anyone back to the checkered tablecloth of Sunday lunches at grandma’s.
The brandmark takes a leap into the past, drawing inspiration from old drive-ins’ signs. Everything, from the mascot to the stickers on the packaging, has a sweet vintage flavor. A nostalgic and familiar mood - a 'comfort brand' for comfort food.
Poldo’s tone of voice is playful and intentionally simple. Neither provoking or aggressive. It leverages Italian sayings adapting them to its communication.
The interior design is inspired by the traditional rotisseries, using humble materials and furnishings that transport visitors back to childhood memories of family and warmth.
In conclusion, Poldo is both a street chicken as well as a homely one.
Poldo - a fast rotisserie with classic flavours for modern consumers.
